Someone else's line

From the mouths of babes... This is one of my favorite things I've read this week. It's from a blog I stop by once in a while.

"They walk around and are so happy and so cheerful and so giggly that you wonder if they ever experience sadness or even think deeply."

The thought appeals to me because I've wondered the same from time to time. I'm not sure why the way it's expressed appeals to me, but it does.

Innocence has its advantages.
Unfortunately, when you get to my age, they call it cluelessness. ;)

I can't say I've ever met a cynical toddler. Ahhh, if they only knew the horrors that await them...

I often walk around happy and cheerful and giggly and I think it is because I have experienced sadness and thought very deeply and need a break from all that at times.

Oh...don't get me wrong, innocence is the most beautiful thing in this whacked out world. I just like the turn of phrase and the fact it came from a girl still in the heart of innocence.

Trust me...I've been considered clueless a time or two thousand!

Breaks from bleakness are both needed and refreshing.

You say babes and I'm thinking of Tyra Banks. Oh, you mean babes as in babies.

Nah, babies are miserable creatures. Always upset about one thing or another. We're better off.
