Ever need a a challenge?

I think I need a challenge. Ever get that way? Life is just too easy, the ruts too deep? You know, like when you can just let go of the wheel and the car will steer itself?

I'm looking for a touch of difficulty. Not the kind that keeps me awake at night, but the kind that makes me excited to get up in the morning.

That's where you guys come in.

I want to pick a person that I need to somehow meet - celebrity, politician, musician, scientist, whatever. Who should that person be? Got any ideas?

I'm pretty confident that almost anyone in the world is accessible somehow. The challenge is in finding out how and then not blowing it. Who should I try and contact? And, more importantly, what should I ask them that hasn't been asked before?

Throw out some ideas and I'll pick one, or maybe just pick my own...I don't know. I've never tried this before.

Then I'll let you know the ups and downs and keep you posted on how it's going. Put on your thinkin' caps and let me know what you come up with.

I totally have one at the ready. You can choose who to contact even. I was thinking Clooney, because of Good Night and Good Luck. He seems to be in to history and he might be able to frame the story. Plus he is pretty politically involved. The pitch is a movie focusing on Gifford Pinchot and John Muir, framing the environmental debate of the early 20th century. Conservation vs. preservation, wise use vs. spiritual wilderness.

I think that this debate needs to be brought up again. That the rationale behind the National Park Service and the National Forest Service needs to be clear, and that it is time to re-evaluate our use of public lands.

Okay, I am spewing my enthusiasm all over you comment page. email me if you are dying for more fuels24 at gmail.com

Do you like my excuses for why I picked Clooney?

Do something really important, enlightening and challenging.

Meet the Dali Lama.

You will have met a challenge and enriched your life at the same time.

My life is constantly one big challenge. I never jinx myself by looking for new ones.
Why don't you start off small, by meeting me. We'll let you help with one of our challenges- getting the house, shed, and garage painted before winter. Once you accomplish this, you can work your way up to George Clooney.
Aw c'mon...it was just a thought. ;)

You should meet the makers of Dots and ask them why!

Melissa - If I were to meet George Clooney, I would probably just want to hang out. I would totally forget to pitch the movie.

PNYC - Might as well shoot for the stars, eh? That would be something, to meet the Dalai Lama. It has been a dream for a while.

Tmom - I don't even dare dream of such a wondrous thing as that. Hanging out and painting a bunch of buildings. There would be no dealing with my ego after that!

M - I would be a bit frightened to meet those people. Clearly they're crazy...and how could I possibly trust crazy people? Dots just aint right.

Ya, you two would probably just end up chasin' the ladies.

Still, could not believe the luck of someone wanting the challenge.

I don't think George has to do too much chasing. I don't think I would mind all the hotties climbing over me to get to him either. Just part of the price I would have to pay to hang with Mr. C.

I think you should meet the world famous chef Gregg, and ask him if you could buy him a drink.
