Excitement from the Heartland

Yeah, this is the drama that is my life. Made a prayer wheel, spun said prayer wheel, noted there would need to be a lot more spinning of said wheel to save humanity from itself, made video of spinning prayer wheel. Yup, my life is filled with excitement.

See the excitement.

Man you really gotta get some stain on that deck. ;)

No kidding!

For the last two years I've been offering to pressure wash it and treat it if my brother would just buy the wood treatment. Whatch gonna do? It's not my deck...

Shawn, that was GREAT!!

How did you do it?

PNYC - I had all sorts of elaborate plans for the prayer wheel, but then I just stumbled across a sort of wooden canister at a craft store. So, I found something that would work as a top, chiselled a rough lotus on it and painted it all. I found some lazy susan hardware for the bottom and that took care of the spinning. Then it was just a bunch of time on the computer printing up a bunch of Om Mani Padme Hum prayers to wind around the inside. I did some Tara prayers too.

The video part I just used a MS video program I found.

Cheers.

Tell him that wood preservative is a LOT cheaper than the new lumber he'll need before too long.

I'll buy you paint, a brush, and your OWN ladder if you want to help us paint. ;)

It's even easier than that...just use a garden sprayer to squirt the wood preservative/deck sealer and then use a brush to work it in. Done in a couple of mornings...one to pressure wash and one to treat.

That's not a stain! It's the deck's character!
