Cheers

Went out to my fine little pub downtown last night and had a tastey Newcastle, or two...

The music box needed feeding so I popped my dollars and tapped the touch zcreen a few times. Miraculoulsy, a few moments later, it began playing music. Is this the same awe that ancient man must have had when he learned to harness fire? I think yes.

In honor of my friends Josh and Eileen, I played some music they might have picked and pretended that they were there. I stopped short of talking to them or buying them drinks though. Come to think of it, I probably wouldn't buy them drinks even if they were there, so that part was pretty realistic.

For Josh, I played Method Man and some Biggie. Eileen got some Billy Bragg. And the bar got a bit educated. A good night, all around.

Music is always a fitting tribute. Much cheaper than buying a round too. ;)

So sweet. I am guessing the music machine did not have a laugh track filled with hyenas, 'cause that's my song.

Ummm...sorry that Eileen drunk dialed you and I shouted in to the phone. Seriously, wait for the pictures of ass man. Unbelieveable.

Oh, sure. You guys get the jukebox with Billy Bragg. Every time I find a jukebox, someone forgot to take the Waylon Jennings and Olivia Newton John out of it like 30 years ago.

Josh - Since you are doing the weight loss thing, I'll just drink that drink for you.

Tmom - Way cheaper!

Dbdad - Big poppa, big poppa, big poppa...

Melissa - I didn't mind the drunk call. You guys didn't answer when I called back though...must have been mesmerized by ass man. Glad you guys tore up the Crazy Horse...it probably needed it.

sme - Oh, believe me, they've got those goodies on there too. My personal favorite when I want to annoy people is Marie Osmond's 'Paper Roses.' I usually play it and then leave before it comes on. And I chuckle the whole way home.

OMG Shawn, PAPER ROSES?! That is too cruel!
I'm curious. The last time I played a jukebox, songs were 3/$.25. What do they run now?

I love the Crazy Horse. Was that guy in the wheelchair there? He's always like, "I'm not letting my disability stop me—I'm gonna score with some skank!" I totally admire that.

Tmom - Yup...it's downright evil...but oh so much fun.

It's a download machine that's hooked up to the internets. It's pretty spendy and it varies depending on whether you play something already loaded, look something up and play it, or hit 'play it now' to try and jump ahead of everyone else's plays.

Josh - Excellent Crazy Horse memories just keep flooding back...

What was the crazy dj's name?
