Have you ever...

Have you ever bought a delicious grande mocha from Starbucks, sipped it while driving and then left it in the car, only to hop in the car a day or so later and grab said mocha and take a swig? Well, I have. It sucks.

Have you ever gotten excited to see that someone's posted a comment on your blog, only to find out that, once again, it's just someone you already know outside of the Internet? And that the comment is entirely gratuitous? Almost as if they were wasting time before starting a shitload of editing work?

Yeah, that sucks too.

Who are you?

You remind me of my friend Josh, but he would never waste time before starting a shitload of editing work. That's why he's known around these parts as Josh 'Works His Fingers To The Bone' Wimmer.

I'll take the comments where I can get 'em.

It's worse when you sip day old chai. *Shiver*

Ewww...that would be bad indeed.

Did you buy a fresh mocha and just go for the wrong cupholder, or did you just forget that it was about 18 hours past its prime?

I've never done this, but what I HAVE done is set a half-finished coffee into a rear/auxillary cupholder to make room for, fuck, I dunno, my water bottle, and then forget about the coffee until about a week later, when it's turned into a rare and fragrant cheese. I have set up a lucrative side business exporting American coffee cheeses to the Netherlands - they'll eat pretty much anything over there.

Well, yeah. They're high all the time.

On life, I mean.

Have you ever let something rot just to see what happens to it? I haven't gone too far with that but they mentioned it in McSweeney's so now I'm kind of curious.

My friend Ryan told me that on the bonus material on the Super-Size Me DVD, they do an experiment where they see how long it takes certain McDonald's foods to rot. And, like, the burgers take waaaaay too long, and the fries just don't.

I mean, they give it a good month, he said, and the fries don't rot.

I had some of those on Monday.

oh yuck! You know, I just tried their new green tea frap and I wasn't impressed at all...it tasted kinda like a christmas sugar cookie, which is just too sweet.

I think it may be the soured cream or milk that tastes so bad days later...just a hunch

Kelly - Asked like a true copy editor. I did indeed buy a new one and put it in a spot next to the old nasty one and later grabbed the wrong one. Your side business must be booming.I wish I had that kind of entrepenurial spirit. Sometimes I don't think I do enough to help fuel our economy.

Eileen - No, of course not...on purpose. I am a single guy though, so I'm likely to have several experiments like that going in my refrigerator at any given time.

JW - I noticed that McFries just get more resilient with age. I was thinking about using discarded ones as a new bumper material for an earth car. Damn...I think Kelly inspired me to start a new business.

Slade - That green tead frap is completely foul. It left a bad taste in my mouth.

Laura - I suggest a fresh one.

I've done that with a can of pop and wound up with a dead fly in my mouth. EEwWwww!

I was going to get a green tea frap in a little bit. Now I'm reconsidering.

Maybe I got a bad one. The first flavor was good but the aftertaste was like putting the brewed tea bag on your tongue.

(No comments on tea bagging from the peanut gallery please...)
